Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - (Building Services / MEP)\n\nChelmsford, Essex – Hybrid\n\n£60k - £70k + Bonus & Benefits\n\nSenior Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / Consultancy / Construction / MEP\n\nThis Mechanical Design Engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close-knit team of engineers working on a range of sectors including education, retail, MOD and commercial. It’s a team of conscientious engineers who have created a friendly supportive working environment, where you’ll feel at home from day one.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical system design.\n\n * Preparing technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.\n\n * Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover.\n\n * Undertaking survey work.\n\n * Production of feasibility reports.\n\n * Attend site progress meetings and review installations.\n\n * Supporting junior staff.\n\n * Maintaining good client relationships.\n\n * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors.\n\n * Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint\n\nQualifications\n\n * MEng / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or an accredited building services degree.\n\n * You will be a mechanical design engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in building services.\n\n * You will have excellent communication skills.\n\n * Due to the nature of some the projects, you must be a permanent UK resident
