Design Manager

Role: Design Manager – Commercial Fit Out\n\nLocation: London\n\nSalary: Competitive + Package\n\nWe are currently looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering high-quality commercial workplace fit out projects across London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business with a strong pipeline of prestigious CAT A and CAT B office fit out schemes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage and coordinate the design process throughout all project stages\n\t\nLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams to ensure design information is issued accurately and on programme\n\t\nReview drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to ensure buildability and compliance\n\t\nDrive design coordination meetings and manage consultant performance\n\t\nIdentify and resolve design and technical issues proactively\n\t\nEnsure design programmes align with project delivery milestones\n\t\nWork closely with commercial and operational teams to support successful project delivery\n\t\nMonitor design changes and ensure all revisions are communicated effectively to project stakeholders\n\t\nSupport pre-construction activities including tender reviews and design input\n\t\nMaintain high standards of quality, compliance, and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle\n\nRequirements\n\nPrevious experience working for a Main Contractor is essential\n\t\nProven experience delivering commercial workplace fit out projects within London\n\t\nStrong understanding of CAT A and CAT B fit out projects\n\t\nAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and work within fast-paced project environments\n\t\nExperience using common construction and design management platforms is advantageous\n\t\nArchitectural background considered, experienced Architects looking to move into Design Management are encouraged to apply\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nOpportunity to work on high-profile commercial workplace projects across London\n\t\nStrong career progression within a growing and reputable contractor\n\t\nCollaborative and supportive working environment\n\t\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\t\nExposure to prestigious clients and landmark fit out schemes
